in Reflection Sunday
by Bill McCollSeptember 21, 2005 -- The Nominating Committee for the 10th Bishop of the Diocese of Newark asks all congregations to assist the committee by taking part in Reflection Sunday, October 2nd (alternative date, September 25th).
Guidelines for congregations were sent to the clergy by email and are available on the Search/Nominating Committee web site. The information gathered from this activity will be extremely valuable to the Committee in its effort to find the very best candidates for bishop.
The Committee hopes all parishes will take an active part in Reflection Sunday and then send their findings to Profile Committee, St. Mark's Church, 118 Chadwick Road, Teaneck, NJ 07666.
The Committee also will hold four regional meetings in early October to hear from lay members of the diocese about what qualities they think the next bishop should have.
