Input focus groups
by Bill McCollSeptember 22, 2005 -- The Nominating Committee for the 10th Bishop of the Diocese of Newark requests all clergy in the diocese to participate in an important meeting in the selection process for the next bishop at Grace Church, Madison, on Tuesday, September 27, 9:30 am - 12:30 pm.
"The Diocese Speaks: Clergy Input Focus Groups" will provide clergy a chance to express their feelings, needs, concerns, etc. about who should be the next leader of the diocese. The Nominating Committee will use the information gathered to help in determining how to select the best candidates for the position.
This meeting is VERY important, and the Committee urges all clergy to make every effort to attend. Directions to Grace Church can be found at the church's website.
The Committee also will hold four regional meetings in early October to hear from lay members of the diocese concerning qualities they think the next bishop should have.
