___________Youth Opinion Sought in Bishop Quest
by Bill McCollOctober 19, 2005 -- The Nominating Committee for the 10th Bishop of Newark and the Diocese's Youth Ministry will co-host a listening session for young people on Sunday, October 23 from 3:00-5:00 PM at Episcopal House, 31 Mulberry Street in Newark.
The session is aimed at getting the views of the youth in the diocese about the characteristics they are hoping for in the next leader of the Diocese of Newark. Food will be served. The Nominating Committee will be using the information gathered there along with data obtained in the previous clergy and lay regional listening sessions to help create a diocesan profile. That profile will guide the members in selecting the 4 to 6 candidates to be voted on at the special diocesan convention next September.
Both the Committee and members of the Youth Ministry team are encouraging all young people to attend.
