We will be faithful and open to the movement of the Holy Spirit in the Nominating Committee as we search for the candidates that God is calling to stand for election as Bishop
We will listen to the range of opinions and requests that come to us with grace, discretion, and good humor, knowing that we need the input of the people of the Diocese
We will also keep our own counsel and our own serenity as we go about our work, trusting that Jesus is in charge, even if we can't see the outcome.
We will nominate four to six candidates to stand for election on a timetable that is in accord with the Standing Committee Diocesan Convention's prescribed election dates.
Each nominee will be willing to work with the variety and diversities of this Diocese, respecting the dignity of every human being, as stated in our Baptismal Covenant, while being sensitive to and valuing our connections to the larger church.
